Hi, my name is Ashanti. In the Discovery Center we are learning about discovery. I think discovery means to find a new object. In my picture, I drew myself. I was looking and I found an object. There were wings on the ground. They were just these wings flying everywhere, and there were sparkles. It was a weird animal. I think the Discovery Center is going to be great!
Crusie-Inator Design Brief: Zap-Your-Teacher-Crazy-Inator
The name of our Inator is Zap-Your-Teacher-Crazy-Inator. Our problem was surprisingly "your choice," which was a very lucky pick by our partner, Ashanti. I know some people were stuck for the problems they picked. We wanted to solve the problem of Boring Subjects. As you should know it took a lot of work to create our Inator. We first came into the Discovery Center for our first time this term. Probably like everyone else we were wondering what in the world are we were going to do! Until Mr.May told us. We found out that we were going to build Inators! He assigned partners, and we started. We first had to write a few things in our field journals. Then we had to sketch ideas in our field journals. And then we really had to use are minds after we combined are our ideas for the joint-design of the Inator. We had to name it, now! First, we came up with so many ideas and then we got it. The Zap-Your-Teacher-Crazy-Inator works by remote control. When you push the central button, the oil inside the Inator bursts out and hits the teacher which causes her to go all crazy. Then the teacher gives us things like cake and field trips, and this will last as long as you want. The Discovery Center experience was very nice, with lots of hard work being an engineer.
